Winter Extravaganza

Every two years, Castlebar Educate Together hosts its much-anticipated Winter Extravaganza, a spectacular variety show that brings together students, staff, and families in a celebration of music, theatre, and community spirit. This year, the show took place in the impressive TF Royal Theatre, giving our young performers the opportunity to shine on a professional stage.

The night was filled with incredible performances. Our talented drummers set a lively beat, while the choir filled the theatre with beautiful harmonies. The highlight of the evening was our magical production of Peter Pan, where our students brought the beloved story to life with energy and enthusiasm. Our younger pupils also delighted the audience with joyful songs, adding to the festive spirit.

A special mention must go to our house band, made up of musical parents, who provided fantastic live music throughout the show. Behind the scenes, a sound engineer and lighting technician ensured that every performance looked and sounded amazing. Of course, none of this would have been possible without the incredible hard work of our students, staff, and the many parents and families who volunteered their time. Their dedication and teamwork made this event truly special.

Taking part in the Winter Extravaganza is a wonderful experience for our students. It builds confidence, encourages teamwork, and nurtures creativity. Performing on a big stage helps children develop resilience and a sense of achievement, while working together fosters friendships and a strong school community. Most importantly, it creates unforgettable memories that will stay with them for years to come.
